2021 GOLF EVENT
CIX was invited to The annual Ronnie Grant Memorial Golf Day at Leeds Golf Club and as part of the auction agreed to commission two custom pieces raising over £2000 for Mind Charity.
Mind is a mental health charity which offers support and advice to people with mental health issues. Mental health encompasses emotional, psychological, and social well-being, and is charity that CIX whole-heartedly supports.
CIX agreed to build a custom mosaic of the iconic popstar Elton John, using a total of 999 mini Rubik cubes fixed on to a Perspex frame. CIX used a combination of the differing method and gradient method to design the mosaic. This technique produce a very modern style, which highlighted Elton’s key features and accessories.
The second commission built for the auction was a mosaic of a lion. Again this was using a total of 999 mini Rubik cubes on a Perspex frame. CIX was given complete freedom with this mosaic and selected the gradient style, which enhanced detail of the design.
